2020-2026 Part 1. Α composition of observing, documenting, researching, thinking, writing, moving around, reflecting and drawing. Drawings in progress photographed in a place of visual inspiration and of personal significance in Oinousses.

a) Ι always loved “these rocks up there” since I was a child. After photographing them for the past years and in many places all over Greece. Tafoni formation is a geological term for a unique class of cavernous weathering structures made by differential and salt weathering processes. b) Allegory, Παρομοίωση/Αλληγορία: The continuous work of salt, wind, microclimates, moist and other weathering processes -which are not yet all known- reminds me of the tiny unseen things that carve a human soul. Just like with these rocks, all we see is a final outcome of all the unseen processes of the actions, thoughts, past, trauma and uncontrollable conditions and factors. 

c) The pencil to draw and write: Pencils before anything else are an extension of my thinking mind to draw and to write. In 2020, I was deeply sad and shocked with the instant isolation from the world due to the pandemic, especially since I had just started doing some steps as a freelance artist and designer. I started drawing and writing to cope and I came up with really good ideas and drawings. One of them was these sketches of stones carefully carved and with details.
